Varying Your Workout Pace Burns More Calories
Since it’s springtime, many women are looking ahead to summer and wanting to get in shape. And while going for a brisk walk everyday can be helpful, you’ll burn more calories (and obtain long and lean muscles faster) if you vary your pace.
This is called interval training.
So, if you normally go for a 30 minute walk everyday, you can easily adapt your workout to achieve maximum results. Instead of walking straight for 30 minutes, try walking for five minutes then jog for two. Switch back to walking for another five, then jog for two more. Get the idea? Varying your pace allows your body to recover more quickly from the bursts of speed and keeps you burning calories. Pretty neat, huh?
