Happy Thanksgiving Day 2009

It’s a beautiful Thanksgiving morning here the sky is blue and the air is crisp. There are families out for their morning walk and the birds fly overhead and the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the shore is interrupted by a train whistle.
It’s a great day and I plan on going for a long hike before Thanksgiving dinner. Actually I am not sure if we are going to eat out or take out this Thanksgiving which is a change for me since I am used to being home for the holidays.
This year has been great at Yeahtips and I am thankful for all the talented writers that made this year so amazing on yeahtips.com.
I remember last year’s Thanksgiving post being too brief and this year I am happy that we posted so many great Thanksgiving and holiday related blog posts. I loved the fact we helped so many people find ways of going green this Thanksgiving , eating healthier , switching to organic foods, and new ways of dealing with Holiday stress.
The blog has been a great resource and inspiration for me personally this year as I cook (try too cook) many of the recipes the team writes and try to live a greener and more organic life – not easy for a meat and potatoes guy from New York.
Growing up in a large family really instilled in me a respect for tradition and a love for the holidays so it’s no surprise that we have posted so many interesting holiday articles all with a great DIY – Green – spin and even launched a very exciting and active Holiday Contest. One of my favorite holiday post so far this year has been going Green for Halloween.
A friend of mine sent me a great letter on all the things she has been thankful and grateful for this year and besides the great success of the Yeahtips Blog I am very grateful for my health, family and friends , pacific ocean, organic foods, great coffee, great new films , I am grateful for learning about new music, grateful for great radio stations like KCRW and NPR , I am grateful for reusable shopping bags, and thankful for my country success and the new directions we are taking politically and socially. I am grateful for so many things this year I am sure I left some out.
What are you giving thanks for or grateful for this Thanksgiving ?
