So this might sound like some pseudoscience mumbo jumbo but it’s not. In fact, smiling really is good for you! The thinking is that if you plant a smile on your face, your body will respond and make you feel cheerier, because that’s the normal response when you use those facial muscles.
If you’re feeling down, angry or just all-around blah, stick a little smile on your face. You’ll feel your mood lift almost immediately. Plus, you can’t dislike the reaction you’ll get from people around you as you flash them a good natured smile.
Remember: happiness is contagious.
