I know you’re busy. Maybe you’re even working overtime, so getting up early is out for the next few weeks. Try a few of the ideas below while you’re at work. Just keep thinking how you’re getting paid to exercise!
Park in the back of the parking lot, or get off a stop earlier on the bus or subway. It may not seem like much, but it’s a great start. Of course, only do this if you feel like it’s safe to walk in that area.
See how many times you can go up the stairs. My office is on the first floor, but I take a few walks around the second floor each day. If you don’t have any stairs, walk around the hall, or even walk to the bathroom as many times as you can get away with.
If you have an office, close the door and do Coach Nicole’s 15 minute desk workout. Or you can actually leave the office building and take a 5 – 10 minute walk. The fresh air will give your energy level a boost.
When you do go to the restroom, do a few stretches before you return to your desk. And make sure to grab another glass of water on your way back to your desk. It’s good for you too!
