There’s a lot to foot care, from scraping to moisturizing, and it’s not easy keeping them touchably smooth.
Most women only focus on that aspect of foot care, while we cram our feet into tight and pointy, but oh-so-cute-or-sexy, painful shoes.
At least your feet are smooth while, if you’re lucky, your significant other rubs out the kinks and aches, right?
Podiatrist Dr. Mark Lombardo has a list of footwear tips on his website. He has tips for everything from heel height to proper fit. Here are a couple that will get you started on the right path before you ever leave the store:
- Try on new shoes at the end of the day. Your feet normally swell and become larger after standing or sitting during the day.
- There should be 1/2-inch space from the end of your longest toe to the end of the shoe.
- Try on both shoes.
